As I visual artist, my primary mediums are photography, mixed media design, and sculpture that are created mainly out of found objects. Creating such visual (metaphors) works of art for me that are part action, part healing, part spiritual, and totally equanimous. Discovering new visual languages in representational objects, images,
figurative self-constructs and imaginative transitional designs.
With my photography, I seek to combine conceptual art with fashion and beauty imagery to create a new visual language through the transformation of traditional canons of fashion into fabricated hybrids of beauty, nature and imagination.
These hybrids crafted through traditional cut and paste, collage, montage and a technique of image moulding, photographic surface sculpturing, abstraction, and layering of provocative imagery.
My hope is to bring to the fashion industry some new visual stimulation and inspiration to an industry that seems to be overly saturated by the same narratives and beauty standards.
