jonna's parents noticed her creative energy at a young age and put her into art classes and gave her an easel of her own. she would often draw or paint or work with clay.
growing up she also spent lots of time woodworking with her father in the garage.
in high school and college while studying architecture she exposed herself to ceramics, glass blowing, woodworking and produced many mixed media displays for her architecture projects.
today she lives in san francisco and loves
collecting interesting pieces of wood from the beach and making art from them. she also satisfies her love of woodworking by building for san francisco daybed (sfdaybed.com) and occasionally putting on her tool belt to help complete her architectural designs.
about the art:
no longer bark protecting sapwood, or limb holding leaves, these wood bits took float across the ocean only to come back with interesting story to tell.
