"My great-grandparents were painters, I always treasured their paintings as a child, and even though I never met them, their artwork told me so much about the people they were." Benjamin is a self taught painter and printmaker living in San Francisco, California. Benjamin is a native to the SF bay area, and moved to the City in 2009. "I am a self taught artist; my work in oil paint reflects my primitive and Outsider's approach to art. My place in the art world can only be understood when considering the scope of the tradition of painting or rather story telling. I see my role as a painter to be a torch bearer for humanity. History is written by the artists, and it's my responsibility to record, respond, and call out, what it means to be human today. I am a cave painter, a grandson of Picasso, Keith Haring's little brother."
